Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (GFADP) is the statewide coalition of concerned organizations and individuals working for greater fairness in Georgia's criminal justice system and an end to capital punishment.

Samuel David Crowe had his sentence commuted to life without parole on the day he was to be executed, May 22, 2008. (for background, see the expired action alert)

William Earl Lynd was executed on May 6, 2008. 
His execution was the 1,100th in the US (41st in Georgia) since 1977 and the first since the US Supreme Court lifted the moratorium on executions during it's review of the Baze v. Rees lethal injection case. (for background, see the expired action alert)
