Troy Davis was convicted of murdering a Georgia police officer in 1991. After nearly two decades on death row and 3 scheduled executions he is still fighting for his life with the help of his family and many community partners. In the summer of 2009, the Supreme Court issued an order mandating a new evidentiary hearing for Troy Davis’ case. The evidentiary hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2010. But what does this mean? To answer the many questions regarding Troy Davis’ case GFADP will host a Teach-In and a Call to Action for Troy Davis.
