Clemency denied for Andrew Brannan

Friends,

We are so sorry to share the news that the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles denied clemency for Andrew Brannan. As of now, his execution will go forward tomorrow, January 13 at 7pm.

For those of you who are able to make it to the vigil at Death Row in Jackson, we strongly encourage you to do so. Jackson is about 1 hour south of Atlanta. This is where death row is and where there is the largest media presence. It’s really important and we want to send a strong message that the state cannot continue to kill people in our names in secret.

If you do plan to attend the vigil at death row in Jackson, please note that you’ll have to show your ID to prison guards and there will be a search of all vehicles. Nights are usually long, so plan accordingly and bring water and anything else you might need.

Thank you for all you do.
