We are overjoyed to share with you some good news: tomorrow's scheduled execution of Marcus Ray Johnson has been halted! Superior Court Judge Willie Lockette has ordered that DNA evidence found last week by Albany police be evaluated. He will hold a follow up hearing in February, 2012.

Thanks to all who took action to stop this execution! Thanks and gratitude in particular go out to Mr. Johnson's lawyers who have worked tirelessly on his behalf. Given this good news, we feel confident that our collective voices were heard.
