As you know, Judge Moore ruled that Troy Davis did not meet the standard for “clearly establishing innocence.”  

We knew this would be a very tough stage in the fight as the standard set was impossibly high, since Troy, having been convicted, was presumed guilty.  However, we still hold that the state should not proceed with an execution due to the overwhelming doubt that permeates Troy’s case.  In fact, the hearing only highlighted that the doubts persist.  

Troy can appeal this ruling, which we hope will prevent Georgia authorities from pursing an execution warrant right away.  However, we need to continue educating folks about the case and collecting petitions, which will be critical for next steps.
