Brandon Rhode is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday,
September 21, 2010 at 7 pm. In response, please send a letter by mail or
fax to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles asking the Board to commute Mr. Rhode’s
sentence to life, as well as a letter to Rainbow Medical Associates -- the
medical team that assists with Georgia's
executions -- asking them to spare Brandon's
life. These two groups, the Parole Board and the execution team, are Mr. Rhode's
last hopes of avoiding death at the hands of the state.
Mr. Rhode's hearing at the Parole Board is Friday
morning, 9/17/10, so please send these letters out ASAP to ensure the Parole
Board receives as many as possible before considering Mr. Rhode's clemency.
On September 21st, GFADP members will mobilize to stand vigil in protest of the state's brutal and dehumanizing action and in solidarity with Brandon Rhode. We urge everyone to join us. Click here for a list of vigils in your area. |
