Witness healing and hope in action! 

Join us for the 30th Anniversary Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (GFADP) and Journey of Hope: From Violence to Healing Speakers’ Tour from Thursday, Jan 24th through Tuesday, Feb 6th. Journey of Hope speakers including murder victim family members, exonerees, and family members of those on death row will talk about their encounters with violence and the death penalty. RSVP for GFADP Day at the Capitol, Feb 7, 2024

On Wednesday, Feb 7th Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (GFADP), Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty, the Catholic Mobilizing Network along with Journey of Hope and many others will gather at the Georgia State Capitol to advocate with our legislators on the importance of passing a bill regarding the death penalty and those with intellectual disabilities.  

The schedule is as follows:

8am-11am - room 215 in the Capitol Building (coffee and instructions)

11am - room 216 in the Capitol Building (catered lunch)

12-1pm - South Stairs - Press Conference and Speakers

Meeting with legislators will take place in scheduled meetings as well as on the rope lines, if permitted by the House.

GFADP and Journey of Hope - From violence to healing 

are joining together to bring murder victim family members, exonerees, and family members of those on death row to speak at venues and events throughout Georgia in early 2024. This will be a 30th anniversary Journey!

Oct. 7-10 Jacksonville, Fla., Brunswick, Ga; Savannah, Ga.

Oct. 11 Move to Koinonia

Oct. 12 Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville

Oct. 13 Columbus, Americus

Oct. 14 Albany

Oct. 15 Move to Indian Springs Park

Oct. 16 Atlanta (Concert and celebration)
