November 27th is #GivingTuesday! Support GFADP through GAgives

Share your love! We are partnering with GAgives this year! Started by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits in 2012, GAgives was started to help non profits all over Georgia. The goal of this day is to increase membership, create awareness, and increase funding. In coalition with business, civic, and community leaders, GAgives makes it possible for any non profit organization to grow, and helps organizations raise awareness by creating a one-stop shop for donations. Annually, this campaign culminates on November 27th with an annual 24 hour marathon of giving known as #GivingTuesday. Since its creation, over 20 million dollars in donations have been raised, over 73,000 have participated, and 100% of the donations went to the 3,000 non profit organizations that participated.

GFADP chose to partner with GAgives because we share a common interest, which is serving the people of Georgia. Sadly, the state of Georgia has done us a disservice by continuing to put people to death. Unfortunately, state-sanctioned executions happen across our nation, and since 1976, 72 of those have been Georgia’s. GFADP believes that these set of laws are archaic, and need to end. GFADP will not stop fighting for the rights and lives of those on death row, and will continue to honor those who were wrongfully put to death. By participating in #GivingTuesday, you make ending the death penalty so much more possible. This #GivingTuesday, support GFADP and help us bring an end to capital punishment in our great state.
